Christmas Celebrations
Today Class 19 had a party because it is nearly the last day of school. Tyson's mum made a very big chocolate cake for us with chocolate icing and decorated it beautifully with hundreds and thousands and strawberries. Thank you very much Tyson's mum for helping us celebrate nearly the end of school with such a delicious cake. We also had popcorn, chips and iceblocks. It was

Football Festival
Each Tuesday we have been learning how to play football. Our teacher's name is Ben and he makes it great fun warming up and learning the skills we need. At first it seemed hard not using your hands but we soon got use to it and we can now control the ball much better. We had a football festival to finish off the term. Our Prize Winners
Trinity, Acera Junior and Jasmine proudly pose for a photo. Trinity got the citizenship award, Acera Junior got the best effort award and Jasmine got the Team 2 Te Reo award. Well done you three for the effort you have put into your learning this year.

2014 Junior Prize Giving
This afternoon we held our Junior Prize Giving ceremony. Mr Burt presented certificates for best effort and citizenship in each class and then there were special team certificates awarded. Congratulations to Acera Junior for best effort in Class 19. The Citizenship Award in Class 19 went to Trinity. The Team Award for Te Reo went to Jasmine. For our team item Team 2 did a great job of singing and doing actions to a medley of Christmas songs and finished it with a very loud "Merry Christmas!". Well done team two.

Class 19 have been very busy using different media - dye with crayon, water colours, printing, paper cutting and acrylics. We have learnt how to mix colours and painted a class mural using the three primary colours. You can see the results in our movie. By Class 19

Ten Successful Speller

Wacky Hair in Class 19
We came to school with wacky hair on Wacky Hair Day! I had red colour sprayed on my hair and Jasmine had her hair in tails that stuck straight out. Her mum put lots of gel on them. She found it rather hard to put her hat on at lunch time - hats and wacky hair don't go! By Madison and Jasmine.

Tyson's Rugby Success
I made it to the finals with my rugby team. My team won the game so we got a big trophy. We all got a small trophy to take home and I had my photo taken with the big trophy and my small one. By Tyson.

Celebrating Our Spelling Success

Seven Super Spellers

Two New Super Spellers

Two Champion Runners
Class 19's two champion runners cross the finish line first and third. Tisa (on the left) is following the course leader in to gain first place and Waylan (on the right in the red t shirt) came in third. Class 19 is very proud of our champions. Congratulations to both of you.
Two Fantastic Runners
At last the Cross Country day had come. We have been training each day running around the field and finally it was the real race. Tisa set a very fast pace and came in first out of the year two team and Waylan came in third. Well done boys! You found out that it really does pay to be a "PTA" (a person who thinks ahead)and train to be a champion.

Six Successful Spellers!

My Special Drink Bottle

Getting a Duffy Book
I got a Duffy Certificate and a book about a fantail. Fantails are friendly birds that live in New Zealand. We are lucky to be able to get a Duffy book when we do some special work. By Waylan.

I wrote this story today but it is just a make believe story so I started the story with the words "Once upon a time". This is my story. "Once upon a time there was a lady called Mrs Dwyer. One day a robber stole Mrs Dwyer's money and it was all gone but she caught him. Then she got all her money back. By Tisa."
