Leylah's Writing and Maths

You are doing a great job Leylah with your writing and maths.  I like the way you are practising writing your letters and numbers to get them perfect.

Pizza Maths

We had the book Pete the Cat and the Perfect Pizza Party for our learning this morning so for maths we counted up some pizza toppings.  Here is AJ doing a great job of adding up his toppings.  You are doing a very good job of writing the numbers correctly, AJ.

AJ's Writing

AJ has been practising his writing using a finger space to make the gaps between the words.  I think his pizza would be "out of this world" with all those delicious ingredients on it.

Variety In A Healthy Lunch

When we went to see Harold in the Life Education van he told us about the importance of eating a variety of different foods.  AJ has remembered how to keep healthy and has sent in a photo of his lunch.  I think Harold would be proud of you for remembering what he told us about healthy foods.  I like the pictures of your healthy lunch too.

Solving More Maths Problem

Practising the Letter "Ee".

Wow AJ, you are really thinking of some unusual words to add to your list of "Ee" words.  I like your pictures especially of the excavator.  It is like the Little Yellow Digger.

AJ Has Been Gardening

AJ has been helping Mum, Dad and sister Kensi to do some gardening over the weekend when the weather was nice and warm.  AJ and Kensi used the weeds in a pretend game of cooking with AJ making some "noodles".  What great helpers you and Kensi have been, AJ.  Your beautiful smile tells me your are enjoying yourself.

Leylah has been exercising her mind doing her home learning and also getting some exercise to keep herself fit.  Good work Leylah -  you have been thinking about "Healthy You.  Healthy Me."  I like your friendly lion.  What a clever way to make the lion's mane using loops of coloured paper.

"L" is for ....

Our work today was based on lions so the alphabet letter was the letter "l".  AJ thought of some great words beginning with "l" and one both his Mum and I hadn't thought of even if we are using it to write to each other on - a laptop!  Good thinking AJ .

How to make a lion.

AJ made a lion from today's home learning slides and Mum has taken photos of each step that he did from drawing a circle to decorating his lions mane.  I like the way AJ has thought about what lions look like when he coloured in his lion using two different colours.  Lion does look nice and friendly, AJ.

Alexis' Home Learning and Baking

Alexis has done some home learning and has baked some tasty treats.  It is alright to have some tasty treats sometimes and during lockdown is a great time to do baking.  Did you help Mum measure out the ingredients, Alexis?  Did you know that when you measure out ingredients you are doing Maths?  What a fun way to do Maths!
