Saying Goodbye

Today was the last day of the term.  Next year you can read our blogs to see what we are doing.  Goodbye from Class 19

Double vision in Pink

Marie and I  dressed up in pink and had a long pink wig on for Wacky Hair Day.  It was a fun day dressing up.  We had a competition at assembly to see who had the best hair.  By Mata and Marie

Christmas Celebrations

Today Class 19 had a party because it is nearly the last day of school.  Tyson's mum made a very big chocolate cake for us with chocolate icing and decorated it beautifully with hundreds and thousands and strawberries.  Thank you very much Tyson's mum for helping us celebrate nearly the end of school with such a delicious cake.  We also had popcorn, chips and iceblocks.  It was
a great way to celebrate.  By Trinity and Tyson

Football Festival

Each Tuesday we have been learning how to play football.  Our teacher's name is Ben and he makes it great fun warming up and learning the skills we need.  At first it seemed hard not using your hands but we soon got use to it and we can now control the ball much better.  We had a football festival to finish off the term.  It was great fun playing our friends.  By Trinity

2014 Junior Prize Giving

This afternoon we held our Junior Prize Giving ceremony.  Mr Burt presented certificates for best effort and citizenship in each class and then there were special team certificates awarded.  Congratulations to Acera Junior for best effort in Class 19.  The Citizenship Award in Class 19 went to Trinity.  The Team Award for Te Reo went to Jasmine.  For our team item Team 2 did a great job of singing and doing actions to a medley of Christmas songs and finished it with a very loud "Merry Christmas!".  Well done team two.

Class 19 Reads "Mouse Paint"

Class 19 had fun reading the story of "Mouse Paint" by Ellen Stoll Walsh.  Here is their version of this delightful book about mixing colours.

Wacky Hair in Class 19

We came to school with wacky hair on Wacky Hair Day!  I had red colour sprayed on my hair and Jasmine had her hair in tails that stuck straight out.  Her mum put lots of gel on them.  She found it rather hard to put her hat on at lunch time - hats and wacky hair don't go! By Madison and Jasmine.
