Gymnastics Fun
Term 3 Kiwi Sport was gymnastics. We had great fun learning to do new things with our bodies such as climbing up the wall like Spider Man, cart wheels, bunny hops and so much more. We had to warm up, do circuits and warm down. We also learnt the names of gymnastic positions.

Year Five Sharing
As an end of term activity the Year 5 students came and shared with us their learning about Guardians of the Galaxies. They had first researched aspects of space. Then they had used this information as the basis of stories and illustrated their stories on hyperstudio. They made very professional books out of these stories and came and read them to Room 16. The children were very excited to see and hear what the Year 5 students are learning and to hear that they had written the stories and illustrated the books themselves. Thank you for sharing your learning with us.

Watching The Flounder Fishing
Pt England school, together with Kauri Flats school, is involved in a project to raise small flounder and release them back into the estuary. Twelve Year 8 children went down to the Tamaki estuary to net some small flounder and we as a whole school walked down to watch them and sing. They were very successful at catching the flounder so they released back into the estuary most of the catch and put the small ones into a purpose built tank to raise them. We will hopefully be able to see the flounder grow and be released back into the estuary in due course.
