School is cool.

Planning, Measuring and Making

Room 16 have learnt so much at Makerspace that they wanted to share what they had done in term 2. They had to plan what they were to make and ask themselves what will they put in in the lunchbox?  What shape will the lunch box need to be?  What size does it need to fit my healthy lunch?  Will it fit in my bag?   After all these decisions the children had great fun in constructing a lunchbox and learning new skills and solving problems as they arose.  Well done Room 16!  Enjoy your movie.

A Dog School?

Two black and white dogs decided to check out our school this morning and enjoyed running around with the children.  They later featured in the children's writing.

Kamryn wrote, "The dogs are running to chase the children at school.  The dogs are not allowed at school.  It is not a dog school."

Jade wrote, "This morning I saw two black and white dogs running near Mr Burt's office.  They had white chests.  The dogs can bite because they have sharp teeth.  They have sharp claws and they can scratch."

Healthy eating with Harold

On our second visit to the Life Education caravan Harold showed us what foods our bodies need to build strong bones and muscles.  Thanks Harold for showing us the variety of foods we should eat each day.  No sweets and cakes for Harold!  He is very healthy.

Team Assembly Certificates

At Team one Friday assemblies we have been talking about champions never giving up and being kind to each other.  Daz and Witari were class 16's certificate winners.

The previous week Najari and Kamryn got certificates for their work in class.

Leigharna's Hard Work

Leigharna has been putting a lot of effort into all her work so she received a Duffy certificate and a book.  She chose the amusing book "Pyjama Day" and class 16 enjoyed sharing it.  They found the book very funny particularly the end.  Keep up the good work Leigharna and I hope you have enjoyed sharing your book with your family.
