Dothan's Home Learning

 We have only been in lockdown for one day and already Dothan has started her home learning with her sister Joelle.  They did some home learning as well as making a dream catcher.  What a great positive attitude you have towards your learning, Dothan.

AJ's Building

AJ likes to build with lego and he made a very good police station. It had doors and windows and he found a sign to put on the roof. You used good building skills to make such a solid construction, AJ.

Cross Country Running

Even though it has been too wet and muddy to practise running on the field we have been able to practise running twice around the paved area. We have noticed how our hearts beat faster and we are getting fitter.

Our Super Snack Heros

For our Inquiry topic this term we have been learning about how important it is to eat healthy foods. All the children have been bringing healthy snacks for morning tea and AJ and Aita were lucky to have their names drawn out to choose something out of the Super Snack cupboard at assembly.

Tamatoa's Constructions

Tamatoa enjoys constructing things. This week he has made a construction with boxes and a building with the big blocks. He looked carefully at his building as he added each new block and choose to put the same blocks on each side to make it symetrical. Great work Tamatoa.

Play Based Learning

The children enjoy our play based learning sessions and there is some great oral language practised and role play. Here are two super hero best friends, a secretary who is also minding a baby, two authors busy writing and a farmer looking after the animals.

Introducing Alexis

 Alexis has started at Pt England this term and she already knows that fruit makes a good healthy snack.  After our trip to visit Harold in the Life Education caravan Alexis enjoyed reading a book about our bodies and lifting the flaps to find out what our bodies look like inside.
