Using our Basketball Skills

On Thursday we had our last session of learning basketball skills.  We got to play a game and we had so much fun using all our skills.  It was fast and exciting when we moved the ball down the court to shoot a goal.  Thank you Coach Malik and Coach Yaran from Kiwi Sport for showing us how to play basketball. Health Checks

Point England School was very fortunate to have health checks for every child recently.  All the children went and learnt how to wash their hands before they had their check up.  They were weighed and measured, had their throat and teeth looked at and then their skin.  It was exciting for everyone to do it together and it gave the children lots to write about back in class.

This is Ryder's story.  "I had my throat checked.  It didn't hurt and my throat was better."
Ryder gets his throat checked.

A Gruffalo's Lunch?

We had great fun making this movie . A chance remark that Gruffalo didn't have a very healthy lunch lead to us having fun showing Gruffalo what a healthy lunch looks like. We hope you enjoy our movie.  Room 16

Interesting Patterns

We were learning about patterns in maths. We learnt that you can make lots of different kinds of patterns using all sorts of equipment. We tried to think of different sorts of patterns using different shapes, colours and the number of things in the repeat.  Here are some of the interesting patterns we made.  By Ryder, Phoenyx, Daz and Najari

Phoenyx's pattern on a board
Najari made a pattern with the counters
Daz made a very interesting repeat pattern.
Ryder used some of the sorting things to make a pattern.
