Slinky Malinki's Christmas Crackers

As Christmas is nearly here we have been reading Christmas stories.  The children enjoyed listening to Slinky Malinki's way of redecorating the tree with himself as a fairy on the top of the tree.  Here are two of their stories.

"Slinky Malinki is a sneaky black cat.  He destroyed the Christmas tree and mischievously hid the fairy under the rug." By Witari

"Slinky Malinki saw the Christmas tree and ruined all of the decorations.  He cheekily hid the fairy under the rug."  By Teejay

Phoenyx drew a picture of Slinky Malinki and the Christmas tree.

Team Assembly

Tevita was 6 on Friday so he got a special birthday certificate.  Witari also got a certificate for thinking hard before he gave his answers in maths this week.

Witari's Duffy Certificate

Witari has been working hard on improving his writing so he was very pleased to receive a Duffy Certificate for his hard work.

Books For Us!

At Pt England school the children were very fortunate to receive a book each from the New Zealand Government.  The children were delighted to receive the books and sat reading them before taking them home.

Here are two stories that Witari and Kamryn wrote about sharing the book with their family.

"Yesterday I got a racing car book.  I read my book with my Dad."  By Witari

"Yesterday we got a new book.  We chose the book ourselves.  At bedtime my Mum read my book to me"  By Kamryn

Reading Every Night

A photo of a photo?

We had to find something yellow to take a photo of and Anthony took a photo of Phoenyx's yellow sneakers.  Jade wanted to see if she could take a photo of Anthony's photo on his iPad.  Witari and Kamryn watched to see what would happen.  You can see what our clever children did.
