Subitizing Dot Patterns

Playing a dice game was a fun introduction to learning about subitizing.  Subitizing is being able to tell the number in a set quickly without counting.  We know that 3 dots diagonally across a dice is the pattern for the number 3 and 3 dots in two rows is the number 6.  In our game we had to place coloured counters over the same amount of dots on a picture as was shown on the dice.
