Ace's Duffy Certificate

Ace has been using the Pt England way of being kind and helpful to others so he was awarded the first Duffy certificate of 2019.  Thank you Ace for sharing your new book with us. 

Room 16, 2019

To begin the year in 2019 there are sixteen year 1 in Room 16.  We had a photo taken outside under the tree to celebrate the beginning of the new school year.

Four new Buddies

Four new buddies have joined Room 16 this year.  Welcome to Pt England Hineiturama, Harmeny, Khittamai and Utukura.

First Assembly of 2019

Four new children from Room 16 received a "Welcome to Pt England" and proudly went up the front of assembly to get their new book bags.

Bubbles

Having read the big book called "Bubbles" we decided to try and see if we could make bubbles go "up, up, up".  Isabella and Filipo knew how to blow gently on the bubble wand to make lots of bubbles and they did float up into the air before they went "pop, pop, pop,pop".

A New Year, A New Class

A new class with new friends to make can be exciting as well as a little bit scary.  But by the end of our first day for 2019, we were all having great fun, working together and helping each other and looking forward to to meeting up again tomorrow.
