Watching A Shag
AJ saw a little pied shag when he was walking in the nature reserve at Tahuna Torea. He was sitting in the sun drying his wings after fishing for his dinner. Can you see him on a branch?
Thank you Mrs Dwyer for the awesome information about the Pied Shag. It was diving up and down on the pond and the wings were spread out so wide. Now we know why, because its wings are not water proof and he was diving deep for fish Or maybe an eel.
