Thursday is Certificate Day

On the last Thursday of term we had a celebration of some of the amazing learning that Room 16 have been doing.  Eli got his certificate for some great maths thinking with fractions.  Cruze has been writing some stories I have enjoyed reading.  Elevina used a picture to write an amazing story about a boy riding his bike and she was able to write words by herself.  We also celebrated Pauliasi's birthday with a certificate.

   

Carnita's Team One Certificate

Carnita got a Team One certificate for working with Elena to film some of our movie.  Carnita listened carefully to the instructions and got it just right.  It's not easy being in a movie.

Team One Certificates For Week 1 Term 3

Chad and Olivia were awarded the team one certificates for Room 16 this week.  They have both been putting lots of effort into their reading.  Keep up the good work, Chad and Olivia.

Tone and Taylor both got Team One Certificates this week.  Taylor has been trying hard with his learning and Tone has been helping to keep the classroom clean and tidy even when it is not his mess.  Thank you for your great team attitude Tone, that we all need to help each other.

Team Certificates for Term 2 Week 11

Peyton and Rataimore were our team certificate winners this week.  Peyton has been getting on with work and making sure she gets things finished while Rataimore has been trying hard to write down the letter sounds that she hears.  Keep up the good work both of you.

Team Assembly Certificate Day

We are finally back to having team assemblies again!  It was nice having Thursday certificates again to reward the children who have been working hard in class.  It is always hard to decide who to give certificates to when everyone is working so hard but Ms Hockly says - just two!  This week Bavin has been planning his stories and trying to use his letter sounds to write words that he doesn't know.  Elena has done some exceptional work in Maths.  When I tested her she really thought hard before answering and in class discussions she was able to add more information and help other people see why she thought an answer was a better one.  Well done for your hard work this week Bavin and Elena.

Team Certificate For Week 7

Chad has been learning his spelling and reading words at home so he was awarded the week 7  Team Certificate from Room 16.  Keep up the good work Chad.

Team One Certificates for Week 5 Term 1

At swimming all the children have made great progress and become more confident in the water.  It was very hard this week to choose just two children for certificates when they all have done so well but Elevina and Rataimore received the certificates for their swimming.

Team One Certificates for Week 4

Jacob and Joelle were the Room 16 certificate winners.  Joelle has "helping" hands.  She looks around the class and see what needs to be done and then quietly goes about putting things in their place.  Thank you Joelle for helping to keep our class room neat and tidy.  Jacob got his certificate for listening carefully to the swimming instructor and doing as he was asked.  Great work Jacob.

Team One Certificates For Week 3 Term 1

Attah and Meria were awarded Room 16's Team Certificates for week 3.  Meria has been trying really hard with her story writing and drawing lovely detailed pictures to match them.  Attah has also been trying hard with his writing.

In team one, Thursday is certificate day at team assembly.  Today we had our first team assembly and it was very hard to pick just two children to receive a certificate from Room 16.  They have all been working very hard at being kind to each other, listening to the teacher and finishing off their work.  Taylor has worked hard on learning to write his name, even practising at home.  Carnita has been taking pride in her work.  She has been very neat in her colouring and writing and helpful around the class.   Well done to both students.
