Muddy Puddles
With all the rain Auckland has experienced lately, our playing fields have become a little muddy in places. While mud is great to slush around in and attracts children like a magnet, Mr Burt asked the children to stay out of the mud and the puddles so that the grass did not get damaged. The children were very good and remembered to keep out of the puddles at playtime and lunchtime.

Friday Helpers
On Friday afternoon seven pupils from the Mt Hobson Middle School come to Pt England to do Community Service. They came to help us with some paper weaving activities as it will soon be Matariki (the Maori New Year). Weaving new baskets is one of the traditional crafts undertaken during Matariki. It was a bit tricky trying to make the paper go over and under but with an extra pair of hands to help the children were soon able to complete the task.
