Loud Shirt Day

To celebrate Loud Shirt Day the children were allowed to wear a "Loud Shirt" to school instead of their school uniform in return for a gold coin to go towards helping children with hearing problems.  We supported this great cause and thought it was a great end of term activity.

The Fire Alarm

When the fire alarm rang in the morning the children knew exactly what to do and it provided a focus for our writing.  Aie Sorn wrote -

"The alarm went and we didn't stop to put on our shoes.  We walked outside quickly and we sat down on the court and were counted."
"When we practised we walked outside and sat down.  The teacher took us then we went back to class." Story and picture by Mele

Practising for Cross Country

It is nearly time for the real Cross country so we had a practise run around the cross country course. So far we have just practised running on the hard surfaces as it has been too wet and muddy on the field.  It was good to challenge ourselves to run around the whole course.
