End of the Netball Season

The "Sparkles" Year 1 Netball team have come a long way from their first game earlier this year.  They have learnt new skills and how to work together as a team to get the ball down the court.  They have turned up for practises and games and they have been well supported by parents who have come each week to cheer on the team.

Pacific Drumming Group

At the end of Maori Language Week, Pt England was fortunate to have the Pt England Kapa Haka group entertain us at morning assembly as well as having the Pacifica Resources Group come in the afternoon and demonstrate different types of drums.  The children were very excited to hear different types of drums being used and to watch the energy that goes into drumming.

A Big Thank You!

Some very thoughtful students wrote lovely notes to the teachers.  They were put in our cubby holes in the staff room for us to find at morning tea.  What a nice surprise!  Thank you so much for your cheerful messages.  Your kind words were appreciated by all the teachers.

On Caterpillar Watch

Logan and Feiloaki on caterpillar watch.

Anne Marie looking closely to see if she can spot a caterpillar.

When the children have been drinking their milk outside, they have been eagerly watching to see if there are any caterpillars are on the swan plants.  Their patience has been rewarded and they have finally spotted some baby caterpillars.  They enjoy getting up close and watching them munch through the leaves.
I can see one!
