Team Assembly Certificates

Anne Marie has been putting in effort with her learning so she was awarded a Team Assembly certificate.   Mariposa is always an enthusiastic member of Room 16 so he was also a recipient of a team certificate.  Chevelle always has a great positive attitude towards her learning, quietly getting on with her work.  Well done Chevelle.

Feeding Time for the Eels

Off to fed the eels - Tupou, Alexandra and Anne Marie
The children fed the eels this morning and they were rather hungry.  They jumped up to eat the crab meat, splashing some of the children.  The children came back to class very excited that they were able to see the eels moving around their tank and splashing.

On Caterpillar Watch

Logan and Feiloaki on caterpillar watch.

Anne Marie looking closely to see if she can spot a caterpillar.

When the children have been drinking their milk outside, they have been eagerly watching to see if there are any caterpillars are on the swan plants.  Their patience has been rewarded and they have finally spotted some baby caterpillars.  They enjoy getting up close and watching them munch through the leaves.
I can see one!

Healthy Lunches

Our Inquiry this term is about healthy eating and how our body works.  We took a look at some of our lunches and saw the healthy things the children are eating.  Good on Logan, Pene and Samson for bringing some healthy sandwiches, Kura for bringing some yummy strawberries, Anne Marie for bringing some milk to drink and Cyrus with his yoghurt.

Planning and Constructing A Marble Run

On the last day of term the children had fun using what they had learnt during Term 2 Inquiry to build a marble run.  They were soon busy planning and building, cutting and taping up boxes and bits and pieces.  The fun part was testing out the marble runs and looking at what other groups had made and getting the other groups to explain how they had made their marble run.  It was a fun end to our simple machines inquiry.

Friday Fiafia Re Run

Because the weather was so wet on the night of the Fiafia many of the groups did not see other groups performing.  The children were very excited to be able to do their performances again on Friday and watch the rest of the performances.  Here are some photos of the children performing.
