Taking Photos Outside

 We have been learning to take photos with our iPads.  We enjoyed being outside and taking some great photos of the trees.

Titan The Pirate

 Titan and his Mum came to Meet the Teacher.  Titan came dressed as a pirate with his striped hat and his hook on his hand.  He climbed up in a tree and looked like a ferocious pirate.

Painting Our Favourite Food

 We painted our favourite food on to a paper plate.  Learning how to use water colour paint was fun.  Sabian liked painting but said it was harder than writing or using crayons to colour.  Here are the artists at work.

Playing Snakes And Ladders

 We had a fun time for Maths today playing Snakes and Ladders.  We had to count the squares to see where we would move to next.  Kairo couldn't believe his luck when he threw a number "two"on the dice.  Tamaimon helped him count the squares to find that Kairo was at the bottom of a great big ladder.   Kairo put his counter at the top of the ladder way ahead of us all.  Kairo won the game by dodging all the snakes in the last row.  Good counting boys.

Memory Shopping Game

 We are enjoying learning to play some new games.  We are learning to take turns, follow the rules and help each other.  Memory is a great game - thinking about where the tile you want is,
in the array and remembering until it is your turn.  We all enjoyed playing Shopping.

Maia Is A Hulahoop Star

 Maia was showing her hulahoop skills to Mrs Fester at morning break.  Mrs Fester managed to capture it on video so we can all see what a star Maia is.  Thank you Mrs Fester.

Using Our IPads Safely

 When using our iPads for the first time, we had to be very safety conscious.  We watched a video to see how to walk with an iPad and how to look after it and keep it safe.  We like using our iPads for our learning.

Fun Playing With A Ball

At playtime and lunch time the large balls are available for the children to play with. Dothan, Sione and Kairo had fun bouncing the balls.

Following the Picture

 Dothan found a picture of what you could build with the magnetic shapes.  She carefully looked for the shapes she needed then she put the shapes together to make her building look just like the one in the picture.  You are a great builder, Dothan.

 Dothan and Selemana are very flexible.  When they are outside they like to show us what they can do.  Selemana and Dothan can both do the splits,  and Dothan can also do the bridge pose.  You really are like gymnasts Dothan and Selemana.

Building A Marble Run Together

It is always more fun doing things together.  Maia and Titan had fun building a tall marble run then watching the marbles run from the top of the structure to the bottom.  You worked well together Maia and Titan.

  

Introducing Raymond

 Raymond has just started school in Room 16 and was presented with his book bag at assembly on Friday.  He proudly went up in front of assembly to receive his book bag.

Harley's Duffy Certificate

 Harley was this weeks Room 16 Duffy Certificate winner.  Harley is one of our new buddies and he has been trying hard with all his work.  What a great start, Harley.  Keep it up.

Friday Afternoon

 We have ended two short weeks of school.  Just before home time on Friday afternoon everyone in Team One sat outside and had an ice block.  What a great way to end the week!

Yummy Lunches and Healthy Snacks

 We have been getting some yummy lunches.  Titan loves the vegetables and eats them all up.  Well done Titan.  Eating a variety of fruit and vegetables will help you be big and strong.

The Start of a New Year!

 Today was our first day of school for 2022.  We were all very excited to be back at school for a new year.  We did lots of learning and it is nice to be back with our friends after our long holiday.
