2019 Christmas Carnival

We had a great day for our junior Christmas Carnival.  There was bike and scooter riding, Mr Whippy, water play, water slides, a shared lunch and then "the Man in the Red Suit" arrived in true New Zealand style in a trailor sitting on a kayak.  What a great fun day!

Khittamai's Duffy Certificate

Khittamai's positive attitude to all his learning earned him a Duffy certificate and he chose the book "A Message in a Bottle".  I like the way you have really been trying with all your work, Khittamai.

Our Billy Goat Gruff Stories

"Once upon a time there was three Billy Goats Gruff.  They went trip trapping on the bridge. Then the Troll went up on the bridge.  The Troll let the small Billy Goat Gruff go to the sweet grass up on the hill."  Story and picture by Khittamai

"Once upon a time the three Billy Goats Gruff went to look for grass.  They were very hungry.  "I will go first," said the Little Billy Goat." Story and picture by Hitelenisia

"Once upon a time the Three Billy Goats Gruff wanted to go and eat the sweet grass on the other side of the bridge.  But the problem was there was a troll under the bridge and he liked to eat goats.  The goats thought of a plan.  The big Billy Goat was going to knock the mean troll off the bridge and into the water.  The Goats would be able to eat the sweet grass on the other side of the river."  Story by Filipo

Celebrating Together

We had a great day celebrating all our learning together at Prize Giving.  It is so hard having to just choose two awards for each class when everyone has been working hard.

Room 16 Visits The Zoo

Team one recently went to the zoo.  When we first started looking at the animals they all seemed to have slept in.  But it wasn't long before we found some animals who were wide awake and we were able to watch them playing and being fed by the keepers.  We saw so many animals and had a great day at the zoo.
