Wheels and Mufti Day

Being able to bring your own wheels to school and ride around the school made for an exciting lunchtime.  Wearing mufti made it a special Friday.

Anne Marie's Duffy Certificate

Anne Marie has been really thinking hard about how to solve problems during maths lessons and she has even helped others to count and demonstrating how she found a solution.  She was the Duffy Certificate winner from Room 16 for week 10.

Finding Matching Words

Maggie and Ann Marie had fun finding matching words on eggs.  They had to look carefully at all the letters to see that they had the right words to match up.  Good noticing girls - you did a good job.

Easter Cards

The children made some beautiful Easter cards for their whanau.  They made the crayon resistant eggs by making patterns on an egg shape with white crayon.  It was hard to see the white crayon patterns on the white paper.  When stripes were painted, the patterns appeared as if by magic much to the children's delight.  The egg was cut out and glued onto a card on which they had written a greeting.  They were very proud of the beautiful cards.

                           Mariposa and Alexandra had fun matching patterns on Easter Eggs.

Alphabet Eggs

Nate, Mariposa and Feiloaki  had fun matching the upper and lower case alphabet letters on eggs.  They discovered that you had to look carefully to match the letters and the egg puzzle pieces.  "These eggs make me think of Easter eggs," said Nate.
