Always Here, Never Late Certificates for Term 2 Week 6

A happy bunch of children who are making the most of all their learning days by coming to school every day on time are Flynn, Abbey, Bentley, Jadakiss, Marzuli, Jeremiah and Jerome.

Week four winners of our class Always Here, Never Late certificates were Odyn, Jeremiah, Talanoa and Flynn.  Jeremiah now has 3 certificates.  Well done Jeremiah.

Munching ANZAC Biscuits

After our school clean up we came inside and read some books about ANZAC Day and munched some ANZAC biscuits.

"ANZAC biscuits are golden brown and delicious," said Jeremiah.

All the children enjoyed receiving a yoghurt treat.

Week 10 Duffy Certificate Winner

Flynn has been trying to write his very own stories, thinking of a good story with some interesting words, sounding out the words he didn't know and putting it all together.  So Flynn was this weeks winner of the Duffy Certificate in Room 16.  What a great "can do" attitude Flynn  and thank you for letting us read your new book.  It was a story we all enjoyed.

Friday Fun

On Friday afternoon team one went outside for games and fun.  We played relays with a baton and practised throwing and catching skills we had learnt at Kiwi Sports.  Thanks to Mrs O'Connor and some of the students from Mt Hobson Middle School who helped us with the activities.

Learning Skills at Creative Space

In Creative Space each class is given digital support to help the children draw and be creative.   Room 16 goes to Creative Space on a Monday morning where they are learning to use Kid Pix.  They are enjoying learning the basic skills.

Week 3 Team Assembly Awards

Room 16's Team One assembly awards this week went to Flynn and Jaycob.  Flynn is one of the newest members of Room 16 and he has made a great effort to follow class routines.  Jaycob has been helping to keep our classroom neat and tidy without being asked.  Well done Jaycob and Flynn.

Minus 5 Monday

We are a school which promotes healthy eating so we used the Minus 5 campaign to encourage children to eat food with less sugar for their lunch.  Here are some of the healthy examples from Room 16.
