Muddy Puddles
With all the rain Auckland has experienced lately, our playing fields have become a little muddy in places. While mud is great to slush around in and attracts children like a magnet, Mr Burt asked the children to stay out of the mud and the puddles so that the grass did not get damaged. The children were very good and remembered to keep out of the puddles at playtime and lunchtime.

Making Dragon's Fire
The first frost of winter provided a good discussion topic for writing. Jerome went out and discovered the grass was all icy, white and crunchy. He ran inside and announced he could make "dragon's fire". Of course all the children wanted to find out how he could do this so he shared his "secret".
