Saying Thank You To Our Helpers

We were very fortunate to have parent and support staff helpers on our zoo trip.  The children are learning how important it is to say "thank you" to people who help us .  All the children made cards. Hamza and Jeyda made cards to give to Mrs Forbes.
Jeyda made a lovely card with pictures of the cheetah.

On the last day of term we had a "Wheels Day" when the children were able to bring their "wheels" to school.  Bikes, scooters and skate boards were brought to school and the children had great fun whizzing around the school on their wheels.

BE NICE TO THE GRASS AND GARDENS PLUS THE WALLS

With all the rain we have had there is a lot of mud around the school grounds so the Friday message at assembly was "BN2daGG+ W".  This motivated some of the students to write and draw about their experiences.

The Paper Bag Monsters

Room 16 recently enjoyed the book "The Night of the Paper Bag Monsters" by Helen Craig.

Jin wrote," I think they are getting ready for a ghost party and they won the ghost challenge.  They won the trophy."

Jeyda thought "the monsters were scary and colourful."  She drew a picture of one of the monsters on her iPad which sure looked scary with its horrible sharp teeth and yellow eyes.  I think I would have been scared meeting that monster on a dark night!

Roses First Game

Jeyda and Adrianna had their first game of netball.  It was exciting getting a uniform and taking the court with friends from year 1.  All the girls played well and helped each other get the ball passed down the court to put the ball through the hoop.  At assembly on Friday Jeyda was very excited to find she was player of the day for week one.
